FMF is committed to advancing the educational infrastructure and SWASH (School Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) amenities for students. Our endeavors encompass establishing water storage facilities, refurbishing and edifying classrooms, educators’ offices, libraries, teacher residences, incinerators, and latrines for both the student body and faculty. We are devoted to fostering a secure and welcoming atmosphere, which includes specialized accommodations for female students and wheelchair-accessible latrines for those with disabilities. Our engagement with community leaders and governmental bodies is pivotal in ensuring the longevity and efficacy of our initiatives, aiming for a substantial and positive influence.
To date, our accomplishments include the construction of two latrines across the regions of Pwani and Shinyanga. In conjunction with these efforts, FMF launched the ‘Clean and Safe Water’ campaign, culminating in creation of a water storage system with 32,000 litres, benefiting over 1,600 pupils, educators, and residents in the Pwani region. Additionally, we have revitalized seven classrooms, constructed three new learning spaces and one teacher’s office, and erected eight houses for educators alongside a library, impacting 794 students thus far.
