Loveness grew up facing many hardships. Born and raised in a family of four siblings, in Kilimanjaro region her parents always struggled to provide for the family.
She did her primary, secondary and advanced education amidst all challenges and passed well. Her dream was to become a Civil Engineer but upon completing her High school education in 2018 matters took a turn and made it extremely difficult for her to manage. This situation made her get doubts on whether she could really pursue Higher education majoring in her dream course ‘Bachelors Degree of Science in Civil Engineering’. While searching for solutions, a friend introduced her to Flaviana Matata Foundation where she was recruited as a university scholar. Under the FMF scholarship, Loveness was mentored, provided with tuition fees, pocket money and other expenses. With this life-changing opportunity, she enrolled at Ardhi University, where she pursued a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Civil Engineering. She worked hard, graduated and today, she is living her dream as a civil engineer at a reputable company.
Her role allows her not only to provide for her family but also to inspire and empower other young girls in her community to pursue their dreams regardless of the challenges they face.
Loveness appreciates the Flaviana Matata Foundation for supporting her and giving her the opportunity to achieve her goals. “The support I received from the foundation changed my life completely. It gave me hope and the strength to overcome obstacles that once seemed impossible.” she says.
Her journey from a struggling student to a successful engineer is a shining example of how education, coupled with support and determination, can transform lives.
