SCHOOL WATER AND SANITATION HYGIENE (SWASH)

Our School Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (SWASH) program is focused on advocating for and enhancing access to clean, safe, and reliable WASH facilities in schools. Recognizing that inadequate sanitation infrastructure directly affects students’ health, school attendance, and overall well-being, we focus on creating sustainable solutions that foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Our SWASH initiatives include;

  • Construction of clean and safe sanitation systems, including gender-segregated latrines that also cater to the needs of students living with disabilities.
  • Installation of incinerators for safe menstrual waste disposal.
  • Development of private, special rooms, ensuring dignity and comfort during menstruation.
  • Provision of reliable water systems to support hygiene practices.
